Hi, I'm Ayda. I'm so glad you're here.
I'm the founder and maker behind Oráh Essence, and I'm grateful to share the story that inspired every product you'll find here.
What began as a search for relief from sensitive, dry skin became a journey that transformed not only my skincare routine, but eventually my life.
Oráh Essence was born long before it became a brand.
Its story began in my home kitchen, where I set out to solve a problem I had struggled with for years. My skin was constantly dry, sensitive, and easily irritated. No matter how many soaps or lotions I tried, nothing seemed to provide the lasting comfort and nourishment I was looking for.
Instead of accepting that as my reality, I decided to learn.
I immersed myself in the art and science of handcrafted skincare, spending countless hours studying ingredients, experimenting with formulations, and making my very first soaps with botanical glycerin. Every batch taught me something new, and every small improvement brought me one step closer to creating products I could truly trust for myself and my family.
Then I discovered tallow.
It completely changed my perspective on skincare.
The difference was remarkable. My skin became softer, healthier, and deeply nourished in a way I had never experienced before. Inspired by those results, I began creating whipped tallow creams, and before long, the commercial products I had relied on for years completely disappeared from my daily routine.
As my shelves slowly filled with curing soaps and freshly made creams, family and friends became curious. They would visit, take a bar of soap home, and come back asking for more. Their excitement, encouragement, and kind words reminded me that what had helped me could truly help others too.
Then one day, one of my closest friends said something I'll never forget:
"People deserve to experience what you've created."
Those simple words became the turning point.
In November 2025, Oráh Essence officially came to life—not as a business idea, but as the natural continuation of a personal journey rooted in care, curiosity, and a genuine desire to create products that make people feel good in their own skin.
As my passion for natural living continued to grow, I realized that caring for ourselves extends beyond skincare. The atmosphere we create in our homes matters just as much. That inspiration naturally led me to begin hand-pouring soy and coconut wax candles, thoughtfully crafted to bring warmth, comfort, and beautiful fragrance into everyday life.
Today, every handcrafted soap, every whipped tallow cream, every candle, and every product created by Oráh Essence is still made in small batches with the same care, intention, and attention to detail that inspired my very first recipe.
I believe there are no shortcuts when it comes to creating products people trust.
That's why every formula begins with carefully selected ingredients, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a commitment to quality over quantity.
The name Oráh comes from the Hebrew word meaning light and radiance.
To me, it represents more than a name.
It represents the belief that caring for yourself and your home should feel natural, intentional, beautiful, and deeply nourishing.

It's found in the simple rituals we often overlook.
